Reservations Required to Visit the Summit
From the Friday before Memorial Day through September 30, a Timed Entry Permit is required. This permit allows you to select a two-hour window to drive straight to the summit and then visit other areas on the mountain on the way down. If you do not purchase this permit, your vehicle will not be allowed past the parking lot at Mile 16 (Devils Playground). This permit costs an additional $2 per vehicle and is in addition to the tollgate fees noted above. For additional info or to purchase the permit (or admission), please refer to to the City of Colorado Springs website for Pikes Peak.

Access to the North Slope Recreation Area costs $5 per adult. However, access to the summit is not included in that price. A valid Colorado Fishing license is required.
